The Honourable Mr. Justice Craig Perkins (Family Court Branch)
Mr. Justice Perkins holds an LLB from the University of Toronto (1972) and was admitted to the Ontario bar in 1974. He practiced law with Blake, Cassels and Graydon LLP before joining the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General, Policy Development Division in 1975. Major projects included work on the Marriage Act (1977); Succession Law Reform Act (1977); Unified Family Court Act (1977); Family Law Reform Act (1978); Support and Custody Orders Enforcement Act (1986) and the Courts of Justice Amendment Act, (1994). He was appointed as a judge of the Family Court of the Superior Court of Justice in 1995 and has served in Simcoe County and Toronto and is currently on the bench in York Region. He has been the Chair of the Community Liaison Committee for York Region since 1999.

Justice Craig Perkins of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice said that he’s encountered many spouses in his courtroom who want to punish the other side by refusing to reveal assets or income. Some spouses going through a divorce want to “hide the Eiffel Tower,” Justice Perkins said. “There is an undisclosed asset or income which they want to conceal.”
