Angry Dads arrested as Court Stormed
Press Release
9th July 2004
Dads dressed in 'decontamination' suits from the campaign group Fathers 4 Justice this morning stormed past security into Middlesbrough County Court as a case involving one of their members who was being denied access to his
son was being heard.
There were scuffles with court security staff as round 20 protestors occupied the reception area and other parts of the building.
The court was shut for around 45 minutes as Police dealt with the incident arresting 2 protestors though several are still believed to be in the building.
More protestors are outside Dunning Road Police Station in Middlesbrough where 2 demonstrators are being held.
The protest comes just days after the occupation of the roof of Worcester County Court by F4J members and is part of an ongoing campaign of civil disruption across the country in the run up to the Government's Green Paper
which is due to be published shortly.
