Children removed from home of missing Regina girl
REGINA - Officials from Saskatchewan's Child Protection Branch have removed the five remaining children from the home of a little girl who disappeared more than two weeks ago.
- INDEPTH: Tamra Keepness
Five-year-old Tamra Keepness disappeared from her home the night of July 5.
Despite an extensive search, police have been unable to find her.
The remaining children were seen leaving their Regina home Wednesday morning with plastic bags containing their belongings.
Five police cars were on the scene as the children were ushered into a van.
No reason has been given for the removal of the children.
There was another twist to the Keepness case Monday when the girl's stepfather was charged with assault causing bodily harm.
Dean McArthur was charged in connection with an alleged altercation at the family home about four hours after Tamra's family said they last saw the little girl.
Police are trying to find out more about what happened in the home that night.
