MISSISSAUGA woman found drowned in her bathtub in 2003 was the victim of a criminal conspiracy involving her two daughters and a third teen, cops said yesterday. The daughters, 15 and 16, have already been arrested and charged with first-degree murder.
Yesterday, police announced they had arrested a 17-year-old as well.
That teen, who along with the victim and the victim's daughter cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder.
HIGH BLOOD-ALCOHOL LEVEL
The woman was discovered dead in January 2003 and her death was initially considered an accident.
She had a high blood-alcohol level when she was found and police say alcoholism may have been a factor in her death.
However, in December 2003, investigators say an anonymous tip led them to reopen the case and treat it as a murder.
The two girls were charged shortly afterward and are currently before the courts.
Cops say the investigation is still ongoing.
