OTTAWA -- Justices Louise Charron and Rosalie Abella have taken their places on the Supreme Court of Canada. The two justices were formally sworn in at ceremonies at the court Monday morning.

The two justices previously served on the Ontario Court of Appeal.

They bring the Supreme Court up to full strength -- nine members -- for a busy fall sitting that begins in October with a landmark hearing on same-sex marriage.
