Police end standoff

A man who kept police at bay for more than 18 hours was finally removed from his
home at 5 a.m. Thursday morning.
Marcel Turgeon, 53, allegedly threatened to kill police officers and barricaded
himself inside his residence after Ontario Provincial Police officers from the
Iroquois Falls detachment went to his home Wednesday morning to assist Canadian
Court Process Servers.Members of the Tactics and Rescue Unit flown in from
London, Ont. eventually entered Turgeon’s residence after lengthy negotiations
and apprehended Turgeon.
Police confirmed that “non-lethal” use of force was used.
