Talk about putting your foot in it.
Stanislav Pristas, 26, faces two new charges of assault with a weapon and resisting arrest after allegedly tossing his shoe at a Justice of the Peace on Friday.
The flying footwear is said to have struck Justice of the Peace Raymond Switzer on the nose, cutting him. Pristas had been in court to set a date for a bail hearing on separate charges of breach of recognizance, assault and criminal harassment for incidents alleged to have occurred March 18 and Sept. 16, 2004.
Pristas' lawyer, Israel Gencher, said the bail hearing, which had been set for yesterday, was adjourned so his client could see a court appointed psychiatrist tomorrow.
