BAIL RULING PENDING

Evidence and arguments in a bail review hearing for the first man charged in Canada under anti-terrorism provisions of the Criminal Code finished yesterday. Justice Roydon Kealey is expected to rule on June 17 on whether Momin Khawaja, 27, can be released pending his trial. Khawaja has been in jail since his March 2004 arrest for allegedly participating in or contributing to an activity of a terrorist group between Nov. 10, 2003 and March 29, 2004 in Ontario and London, England.
