Ont. man dead following stun gun arrest

BEAMSVILLE, Ont -- A 39-year-old man is dead after police used a stun gun during his arrest.
Niagara Regional Police went to a neighbourhood in Beamsville, west of St. Catharines, following reports of numerous break-ins in the area.
While on the scene, they tried to arrest a suspect identified as James Foldi.
Police say a Taser gun was used during his arrest early Friday.
Foldi was brought into police custody, but sent to hospital after officers say the suspect appeared to be in "medical distress."
He later died in hospital.
A post mortem is scheduled for this afternoon in Hamilton.
The case is now being investigated by the Special Investigations Unit.
