Dion, Williams plan ‘courtesy meeting'

Canadian Press

ST. JOHN'S — Liberal Leader Stéphane Dion will meet with Premier Danny Williams on Tuesday as federal Grits from across Canada kick off a three-day strategy meeting in Newfoundland for the fall session of Parliament.

An official with the Tory premier's office down played the get-together as a “courtesy meeting,” but the two leaders from different political stripes both share the common goal of dethroning Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

Since last October, Mr. Williams has openly campaigned against Mr. Harper, repeatedly charging that the prime minister broke a promise when he introduced a new equalization formula that penalizes the province's energy revenues.

But Mr. Harper has denied breaking any promise because Newfoundland still has the option of sticking with the principles of the Atlantic Accord, a federal-provincial agreement that protects the province from equalization clawbacks until at least 2012.

The national Liberal caucus meets in St. John's, N.L. from Tuesday to Thursday.

Stéphane Dion, When you sit down with Danny Williams on Tuesday would you kindly mention to him that Canada has a serious problem with a negative population growth. At present, our Federal and Provincial governments are increasingly introducing policy and legislation that deters men from having children. You see, Canada effectively has a “male gender apartheid policy”, it assumes men are violent abusers who should not be with children. It assumes every bit of feminist ideas is something that must be enacted into law either directly or indirectly. It means we get judges appointed to family court on the basis of the pathological bias towards men. It means we have across Canada an epidemic problem of judges who are so biased against men that there is little point in them holding any hearing as the outcome is predetermined according to feminist logic.

The only way we can end this crazy corrupt society is to legislate a legal presumption of equal parenting after separation, and, child support guidelines that allow for the differences in income and allow for the real parenting costs incurred by non-custodial parents. While you are talking with Danny Williams, ask him if he is aware that judges are increasingly issuing restraining orders to banish fathers from cities simply to stop litigation or to stop court ordered access. Next time you are in Ottawa at the true blue liberal cocktail party, you are bound to run into Justice Denis Power of Ottawa. You can ask him exactly the same question as to why he issues restraining orders to prevent another judges order for an expedited trial of custody to take place. You can also Ask Justice Denis Power how he can leave such a trail of permanent injustice and sleep at night while supposedly being someone who supports liberal values. http://www.OttawaMensCentre.com 613-797-3237
