A 52-year-old man who pleaded guilty to raping and fathering a child with his young daughter will be facing up to 10 years in prison.

The man, who cannot be name to protect the identity of the 26-year-old woman - who was 13 and 14 years old during the time of the incidents - had his bail revoked Monday after his sentencing hearing. He pleaded guilty to sexual assault, invitation to sexual touching, incest and aggravated assault.

After reading an emotional victim impact state, the teary-eyed woman said her father's ability to control, manipulate and lie about what went on in the mid 90s will never happen again.

"This is over, and, in my heart, as of today, you are dead," she said, after requesting he never contact her once he is released from a penitentiary. "I hope you suffer like you made me suffer hell."

The Crown read out a graphic recount of the experience of the girl, who never met her biological father until she was 10 years old. And when she came to blows with her mother at the age of 13, she went to live with her father. From that point, he subjected her to all forms of sexual interaction on a regular basis, and when she became defiant, he would break beer bottles and cut her body.

According to the agreed statement of facts, the first incident took place while the girl was taking a shower in the one-bedroom apartment. Her father came into the bathroom, pulled back the shower curtain, looked her up and down and complimented her body saying she was "well developed" for her age. The victim approached police in 2005 but police could not track him down until 2006. His lawyer, James Harbic, suggested a prison term of three to five years, given he pleaded guilty and participated in the DNA testing that confirmed the child she had when she was 15 years old is the man's grandchild.

The Crown suggested a longer term of between seven and 10 years.

The sentencing date is set for Sept. 10.
