Surrey, B.C., Mounties target domestic violence

SURREY, B.C. — The city of Surrey is aiming to target domestic violence by launching an new initiative within their RCMP detachment.

Surrey Mayor Diane Watts announced the new Dedicated Domestic Violence unit on Monday.

An officer and a support worker will respond to the nearly 1200 domestic violence calls placed to police every year.

A member of a local anti-violence group says the unit is a good idea but questions why no one in the South Asian community is on the team.

Ms. Watts says the unit will have access to officers and support workers who can speak Punjabi.

Several women from the South Asian community have been murdered in the last year.

Dedicated Domestic Violence teams unfortunately result in a massive number of men being arrested who were assaulted by their female partners. Society is outraged at South Asian honour killings and or wife killings but are indifferent to the fact that in Canada a wife can kick punch or seriously assault a man and even if he offers no resistance she can call 911 and have him arrested. All she has to do is do some “self inflicted damage”. Invariably the charges are eventually dropped but not before she gains an order preventing him from seeing the kids which gives her a status quo advantage. The matter of how and why she gained that advantage is conveniently avoided consideration when it comes to the issue of custody. Throw in a feminist lawyer who is personally prepared to fabricate evidence and we end up with a system of male gender a apartheid that is equally or more unjust than how Sharia law treats women. In jurisdictions where unbiased persons are chosen for the “domestic violence squad”, the numbers of men and women arrested for domestic violence approach equal numbers. The sad fact is that generally Domestic Violence Units are riddled with man hating feminists who will use their position to further inflate the statistics in favour of feminist delusions. http://www.OttawaMensCentre.com
