Two people wounded by woman wielding Samurai sword in Milton, Ont.

MILTON, Ont. — A woman is in hospital with unspecified injuries after wounding her boyfriend and an off-duty firefighter in Milton, Ont., with a Samurai sword.

Halton Regional police say just before 9 p.m. Sunday, the woman got into a fight with her boyfriend and used his display sword to strike him.

He was treated in hospital for non-life-threatening wounds to his shoulder, arm and the side of his head.

After being told to leave the home by the victim’s brother, the woman went to a gas station across the street and smashed windows with the sword.

Police say an off-duty firefighter was slashed across the arm by the sword when he tried to keep the woman away from gas station employees.

He was treated for a deep cut and the women is being treated at an Oakville hospital for unspecified injuries. No names have been released.
