ALGARY — Police in Calgary have charged a female teacher with sexually assaulting a teenager. Officers allege that Jennifer Mason, who is 30, started a relationship with the boy when he was 15 in August 2012. He was a student at the Catholic school, which has now suspended her from teaching. Police say they started an investigation last November after receiving a public tip about suspicious activity in a vehicle. Mason also faces charges of invitation to sexual touching, sexual interference and sexual exploitation by a person in a position of trust. She is to appear in court on Feb. 28.
Calgary, AL - Jennifer Mason, 30, has been charged with sexual assault, sexual exploitation by a person in a position of trust, sexual interference and invitation to sexual touching.
Commentary by the Ottawa Mens Centre There is a double standard when it comes to sexual abuse by women compared to men. Jennifer Mason can look forward to a minimal sentence and the odds are she will continue to have similar relationships if not the same relationship in the future.
The question is how many more other boys did she similarly abuse?
