Ottawa man faces new child sex chargesBy Megan Gillis ,Ottawa Sun An Ottawa man already accused of child luring is now facing a hands-on sex charge involving a 16-year-old girl related to an earlier incident. Police fear there may be other victims. Paul Michael Galea, 42, is scheduled to appear in court Thursday. He is charged with having computer contact with a person under the age of 18 for a sexual purpose and sexual assault by the Ottawa Police Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE). Police had earlier laid 11 charges against Galea including having computer contact with a person under 16, having computer contact with a person under 18 for a sexual purpose, making sexually explicit material available to a child under 16 and possession of child pornography. Galea was released on bail on the first set of charges - he's now back into custody - but the new allegations pre-date them. Both sets of allegations, which date from 2011 and 2012, involve teenage girls known to the accused. The second girl came forward after a media release about the first set of charges. Forensic examination of a seized cell phone is underway. Sgt. Francois D'Aoust has "strong suspicion" there are other victims out there. "There seldom is only one, often there's a series of victims," he said. "We always suspect that there is more than one victim in these cases. The forensic analysis of the device often yield(s) those results." If there are other victims, D'Aoust urges them to come forward. "I'd like them to come forward to talk to police and find out what happened in their situation so we can offer them some help and some counselling," he said. Anyone with information is asked to call the ICE Unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 5660, or Crime Stoppers at 613-233-8477 (TIPS) or toll free at 1-800-222-8477. megan.gillis@sunmedia.ca Twitter: @ottawasun_megan
The Ottawa Police have selective amensia, when it comes to prosecutions and, a deadbeat atttude towards making efforts to prosecute real criminals. If the suspect happens to have a connection with the Ottawa Police or the othe corrupt organizations that make up "the authorities" of Ottawa, charges either don't get laid, or charges are laid against the victims of crime.
Welcome to the Ottawa Police, one of the most corrupt organizations in Canada where the likes of Det. Peter Van Der Zander fabricate evidence and obstruct justice with impunity. Van Der Zander apparently spent some time in a similar role to D'Aoust before he was let loose in partner and where he left a trail of destruction. If you have had any noteworthy experiences with the Corrupt Ottawa Police email Info@OttawaMensCentre.com or call (613) 797-3237 Sgt. Francois D'Aoust had some good points. Sgt. Just as the victims of sexual abuse don't like coming forward, neither do the victims of corrupt evidence fabricating justice obstructing low life rotten cops like Det. Peter Van Der Zander.
